“Entrepreneur” is the magic word that seems to open doors to get ahead in life. But how do you start? Red Innova, a meeting point to the digital and technological industr
y in Latin America has chosen seven books all entrepreneurs should read.

1) “The Art of the Start”, by Guy Kawasaki, is one of the most inspirational books around in which the guru of entrepreneurship talks about how to sell, how to bring in capital, how to recruit the perfect team and the 10/20/30 rule, among other things.

2) “Steve Jobs, The Biography”, by Walter Isaacson, published just after the death of the founder of Apple, tells the life-story of the top reference for entrepreneurs. This book can provide inspiration for modern entrepreneurs that are looking to follow a model businessman through innovation and creativity.

3) “The Lean Start-Up”, by Eric Ries, deeply changed the entrepreneurial ecosystem by putting forth a new way to create products by focusing on customers so that everything is developed and measured thanks to the interaction with customers or prospective customers. It contains a lot of concepts and is a quick read.

4) “Rework”, by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson, was written by the founders of 37 signals, a software company that make applications for businesses. This book brings traditional wisdom to marketing, productivity and the beginnings of a company but turns the screw a notch.

5) “All Marketers are Lyers”, by Seth Godin, who believes the key to marketing consists of telling a story, and this book has become a manifesto for this action. When marketers tell a good story, consumers will repeat it and, eventually, they accept them as real. However, if the story isn´t authentic, it´s impossible to reach this point.

6) “The Little Black Book of Entrepreneurship”, by Fernando Trías de Bes, talks about the most common errors made by entrepreneurs. Page by page, it offers a crude and realistic vision of the problems a person faces when starting a business. This is a book that says success is based on observation and not committing outside errors.

7) “Steal like an Artist”, by Austin Kleon, who is an artist that has some fantastic insights into creativity. This book is short, easy to read and has a personal style that has practical tips to help exercise the creativity.
